We're Racing For Life on 7th June

On the 7th June this year, one of our co-owners and her daughter will be taking part in the "Race For Life" to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Karen and Shona will be completing the 5km race along with thousands of other women across the UK.

Karen's co-owners and staff at The Gate will be supporting her and helping her raise as much money as they can for this worthwhile cause. If you'd like to help us then please dig deep and make a donation. 3 Weeks on and Thriving...!

We'd like to say a great big thank you to all our customers who have walked through our doors during our first 3 weeks. We decided to open quietly, but have been overwhelmed with the level of trade. "Organised chaos" would probably be the best term to describe whats' been going on behind the scenes, as everyone who has dined with us will know this is our first venture into the restaurant trade. That said, all four owners of "The Gate" share a passion for good food and good service and we are delighted that has been apparent to so many of our guests.

From now on, we intend to update our Blog weekly, so please come back soon and check out our latest news, as we have some exciting announcements on the way including, yes... Sunday Breakfast is set to return!  Smile

Welcome to The Gate Restaurant

Thank you for visiting the website of The Gate Restaurant. We opened our doors to the public on Tuesday 10 March 2009 and have had some great feedback since then. We'll be using the website and this blog to keep you up-to-date with what's new in the restaurant, seasonal menu changes and some special offers too, so keep on checking back.
